This week we are helping Tulsa keep their thermostats set and ready for the winter winds! Yes it has been really cold and the McBee Heat and Air guys want you to know the advantages of using a digital thermostat -vs- using a mercury thermostat.
Here we go!
First we have a photo of the Mercury Thermostat.... I think most everyone has seen one of these or actually still has one in their home. This thermostat will keep you warm or cool depending on the time of year, but you are limited as to what you can do with it. If you want to change the temperature you just push the lever across the top to set it. Simple... yes... Effective... yes BUT you may want more control.... So for those of us who like to have options....

This is a Trane Digital Thermostat. Pretty cool isn't it?
This Digital thermostat can give you the ability to set a certain temperature during the day while you are at work, then have it programmed to change to a more comfortable temperature 30 min before you get home! This not only saves energy and is good for the environment but save you money too! There are lots of good reasons to use a Trane Digital Thermostat but here is a list of the top 5 on my list!
1. More Accurate temperature readings.
2. 5 min delay on temperature adjustments saves your compressor!!
3. Up to Four Temperature Settings a day, so you can have your home temperature set according to you being home or not. Pretty Neat!
4. Easy to read Digital Touch Screens
5. Cost effective. Saves you money if used correctly!
